In Hyderabad, Eat here!

From roadside eateries to star hotels; from breakfast to midnight biryanis; and from mexican cuisine to hyderabadi; this blog attempts to provide you short write-ups for all the places I have eaten so far in Hyderabad!

Without much further ado, if you are looking for reviews of restaurants in Hyderabad by Alphabetic order (I have 403 so far!), click here. The labels to your right also show options for location and cuisine.

Needless to say, there will be continuous updates, and the list is never final! Happy eating!

Ohri’s

Ohris actually has 3 restaurants, but it is the Chinese restaurant that stands out amongst all these. Every item in their buffet is a treat to the taste buds. I cannot single out one item and recommend it. Menu items keep changing, and each time I have been there, I never found a reason to be not satisfied with their food. So, if you are going to Ohri's, then make sure you eat Chinese only!! They also have branch in Basheerbagh - Ming's Court.

Akanksha has this to add about "Ming's Court" - follow her advice to the T, and you will never forget the experience!

I personally prefer Mings Court @ Basheerbagh to Far East @ Banjara hills simply because Mings court wins on every count - taste, quantity and price!!

Coming to the order.. and believe me this is an awesome order for 3-4 people.

Chicken Hot and Sour Soup ( "one by two" :D, and yes their quantities are brilliant)

1 Phuket fish (serves 2 happy and content fish lovers!)

1 Dry Chicken Schezwan(i like the starters version better but you can safely go ahead and order this in gravy with your noodles!)

Chicken schezwan noodles(medium spicy.. and I love it as it is or with the dry chicken.. doesn't need gravy!)

At the end of this meal they bring you a happy plate of fortune cookies and a bill of approximately 1100 bucks! totally worth the food and the ambience!

PS: if you're in a huge group.. book one of those cabins.. you'll have fun ringing the bells.. and just for the heck of it..do call for the complimentary chinese tea..it's not too bad!)

After dinner glide down the stairs and once u've digested some food, head to Havmor on the ground floor and order a nutty buddy(to be shared between min 4-6 people!!) Nice way to bond with friends :D PPS: For my vegetarian friends - veg hot n sour is definitely the best here. for starters - crispy corn pepper salt and chilly sticks are recommended.

Location: Banjara Hills, Road number 12 Cuisine: Chinese Lunch Buffet Cost: I forgot ( well, rather I never paid the bill there ;-) )!
